About us

Explore the wild beauty of Alaska on a gentle giant Percheron Draft Horse. These magnificent animals have a fine gentle temperament and because of their size and stamina they can accommodate large riders. Our trips are truly an experience, customized for your pleasure, because we only book 1 or 2 riders per trip with our guide. On your memorable trip you will see wildlife and birds, and learn to identify local wild plants. Perhaps you would like to learn outdoor skills or wilderness survival. Your guide is an experienced Alaskan woodsman with a rich knowledge of the area. Our rides take place in the Chakok River Valley, which is the salmon spawning grounds that feed into the headwaters of the world class Anchor River. We feature Boz Saddles because of the balance and comfort to the rider and the horse. We provide the equipment and ride 7 days a week in the summer rain or shine. While the rest of your party goes fishing come ride with us!
